The Opening of the Vin Jaune

Each year, the “Percée du Vin Jaune” celebrates one of Jura’s signature and iconic wines in a festive and lively festival. It is the special moment when the barrels of vintage– aged for over six years under a protective veil– are opened for the very first time. With tastings, parades, and traditional winemaking rituals, this traveling event honors the craftsmanship, patience, and magic behind Vin Jaune.
